ORA-12162: TNS: net services name is incorrectly specified.

 

Issue:

1: ORA-12162: TNS: net services name is incorrectly specified.

            Is actually occurred when you set your ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID path wrong.

SOLUTION: 

Just set your ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID path in .bash_profile and

Export it

  

$ export ORACLE_HOME=(path of ORACLE_HOME)

$ export ORACLE_SID=(ORACLE_SID (database))
